The Chinese Garden of Friendship is a symbol of enduring links between China and Australia.

The Chinese Garden of Friendship is one of the largest of its kind outside mainland China, this tranquil garden was designed by Chinese landscape architects from Guandong Province, a New South Wales sister state, it features Cantonese-style pavilions, lakes, waterfalls and bridges. There are plenty of running water, towering willow trees, a pond filled with huge Kois, lagoons with lotus plants, which makes this an ideal place to read a book or just have a quiet time. A sanctuary in the hustle and bustle of the big city.

The Chinese Garden of Friendship is at the south end of Darling harbour and a short walk from Chinatown. It is a delightful and peaceful place to relax after a busy day at Darling Harbour. The garden combines the elements of water, plants, stone and architecture.
